Cutmix is the data controller for personal data processed through the Cutmix service. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect and why

• Your videos: not collected. They are processed on your device.
• Clip snapshots: small still pictures sent for AI clean-up, used only to label clips and not stored (to provide the service; contract).
• Device identifier: a random ID stored in your browser to count free AI clean-ups (to enforce fair use; legitimate interests).
• Email address and account ID: when you buy Pro, to sign you in and link your subscription (contract).
• Subscription details: plan, status and renewal dates (contract; legal obligation for records).
• Technical data: IP address and basic logs, for security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests).
• Support messages: if you contact us, to help you (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of Pro, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Service providers who host the app, run sign-in and the database, and provide AI image labelling.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting), and authorities where the law requires.

Ads and cookies

Free users see a small number of ads. Today these only promote Cutmix Pro and use no tracking. We use essential browser storage for sign-in and your settings. If we add an ad network that uses cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Account and subscription data is kept while you have an account and as long as needed for legal and tax records, then deleted or anonymised. Free clean-up counts are kept for a short time only.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to use of your data, take a copy of it, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. We respond within one month. Email cutmix8@gmail.com.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.
